🌿 About Dr. Caitlin Goodwin

Nurse. Midwife. Writer. Advocate.

I created Still Nurses for the nurse who is questioning their sustainability, not their calling.

Hi, I’m Caitlin Goodwin, DNP, CNM, RN. After nearly two decades in reproductive healthcare—from the hospital bedside to the birth center—I realized that burnout isn’t a personal failure. It is a predictable outcome of working in a system that often asks for more than we can safely sustain.

As a mother of four and a healthcare professional, I struggled with that impossible balance for years. I know the weight of the “dreaded shift” and the toll it takes on your health and family. That experience is why I transitioned from bedside care to building a career that allows me to blend my clinical expertise with creative, flexible work.

I am a Medical Writer, Editor, and Reviewer. I currently serve on the Organizing Committee for the Virtual International Day of the Midwife (VIDM), facilitating global collaboration among perinatal providers.
